Our Sacred Honor Campaign
A five-year funding plan with three major goals to preserve and forward the vision of our founders—to publish and teach the principles of Christian self-government and character for the perpetuation of American liberty for the generations to come
The three major funding goals for five years
-
Re-establishing in Virginia the Hall and Slater Christian History Library for primary source research related to the history of the U.S. Constitution and self-government. The priceless library of rare books, pamphlets, and other holdings moved from San Francisco will be housed with appropriate protection and accessibility.
-
Expanding the Foundation’s endowment funds to position the mission for the next phases of ministry.
-
Opening the Christian history treasury by publishing second generation versions of the “red books” making application to the issues of today. This includes
-
Digitizing the many FACE publications to current technology and upgrading the citation system of the original publications to current standards.
-
Publishing A Republic if You Can Keep It! America’s Authentic Liberty Confronts Contemporary Counterfeits applying principles of self-government to today’s issues
-
Publishing A Republic in popular language in a shorter version with the broadest appeal
The first phase of the Sacred Honor Campaign “New Beginnings”
The focus of the Sacred Honor funding campaign in 2006 and 2007 is opening the Christian history treasury with new technology. The original work in the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s by Verna Hall and Rosalie Slater intended to set a landmark in the American consciousness of the principles of American liberty. This priceless body of original work must be preserved and made accessible to new generations. The first steps are:
- Digitizing all Foundation holdings which represent a national treasure to give them optimum availability and affordable distribution using current technology.
- Writing and producing the book A Republic if You Can Keep It: America’s Authentic Liberty Confronts Contemporary Counterfeits on CD for the academic community applying principles of liberty in discerning current issues.
- Writing and publishing a new training model for preparing teachers and parents to teach principles of liberty to their children through the curriculum—the Principle Approach—Helping You Form Christian Character in Your Children.
